A pearl is a hard, glistening object. These are found in the most unlikely places. For example, these are produced within the soft tissue (specifically the mantle) of a living shelled mollusk or another animal, such as fossil conulariids. Now-a-days, all sorts of "shell" creatures can produce something like a pearl, doesn't mean they all have value or worth. A lot of pearls have been found in America, Australia, Scotland etc. Now, pearls are being used as jewellery items by humans. Most of the pearls are natural and those are very valuable. But it also can be cultivated. These are called artificial pearls. these are also valuable, but not as much as the natural ones'.
